Multi-Strand Bracelets
One of the most common questions we hear is regarding multi-strand bracelets. Many people do not realize beaded mothers bracelets can be ordered with 1, 2, 3 or 4 strands all attached to the same clasp to create a single bracelet. Why order more than a single strand mother’s bracelet? Perhaps Mom would like to put a different child’s name on each strand accented with that child’s birthstone. Another reason to order a double strand, triple strand or even quadruple strand bracelet would be to add the parents’ birthstones as an accent. Some bracelet styles in our boutique will fit 2 names on a single strand as long as the names do not have too many letters. We do not recommend more than 14 letter beads on a single strand, as the bracelet would then lose the design characteristics.

How to Order a Mother Bracelet
There are a few things you need to know before ordering a personalized mothers bracelet or grandmothers bracelet.

• Bracelet size - The average women’s bracelet size is a 7” or 7.5”. Please reference our Sizing Chart for detailed instructions.
• Birthstones – Gather the birth dates of all the children and then reference our Birthstone Chart. If ordering a Grandma’s birthstone bracelet you may want to list the children’s birthstones in chronological order starting with the oldest child.
• Decide how many beaded strands you would like on the bracelet. If you like chunky jewelry, a quadruple strand bracelet is for you!
• Correct spelling of child’s name
• Charm for bracelet – Please reference our Charm Options page to view our complimentary sterling silver charms.
• Location of name on bracelet – Most people go for the center but we can put the names off center of the bracelet strand too!

Types of Beads
Bali Silver Beads are handmade sterling silver beads by skilled craftsmen on the island of Bali in Indonesia. They consist of at least 92.5% silver to form sterling silver. The Balinese silversmiths have designed thousands of unique bead styles, which enhance jewelry with a very exotic flair. Lily Brooke Jewelry uses authentic Bali silver beads as well as “Bali” style silver beads though out the silver mothers bracelet collection. The difference between true Bali beads and “Bali” style beads is the latter is actually made by silversmiths residing in India or Turkey. “Bali” style beads still have the required amount of 92.5% silver to make them sterling silver beads.

Swarovski Crystal Beads have an incredible sparkle and clarity due to the fact that is lead crystal and is has a multi-faceted cut to resemble gemstones. The fine crystal originated in 1895 through the invention of a “cutting edge” glass cutting machine which made possible the ability to cut crystal with an unsurpassable level of perfection and precision. Swarovski crystal comes exclusively from Austria. You will find Swarovski crystal in almost every birthstone bracelet created by Lily Brooke Jewelry as we exclusively use the fine crystal beads to represent the birth months.

Sterling Silver Beads are created from sterling product containing 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% alloy metal. The alloy metal mixed with pure silver is what enables the sterling product to achieve consistency, strength and hardness. Pure silver would be too soft to hold shape and resist damage as jewelry. Lily Brooke Jewelry uses only quality sterling silver for all bracelet components. From the beautifully ornate silver beads and silver bracelet clasp right down to the tiny wire crimps, you can be assured that a Lily Brooke silver mother bracelet is top quality.

Alphabet Letter Beads used on all Lily Brooke bracelet designs are made of sterling silver. We now exclusively use a sterling silver letter bead that has soft-edges, an extremely high polish and is manufactured in the USA. You may see some photos on our website which show the bracelet style having the “blocky” style bead rather than the soft-edges. The reason for this is we just haven’t been able to update the photography for that bracelet yet. Our original designs utilized the “blocky” style and we found that these beads were inconsistent in shape and quality. They also tended to tarnish and dull quicker. For that reason, we have adopted the soft-edge style bead as our standard to hold our quality at the highest level. They also have a more feminine and elegant look.
                                   
14K Gold Filled Beads are much more durable that 14k gold. For this reason we use only the gold filled beads in our bracelet designs. It also makes our bracelets much more affordable for all moms to enjoy. A gold-filled bead will not lose the finish or wear-off and it has the beautiful color that 14k gold jewelry should have.

Freshwater Pearls are made in oyster beds and come in various sizes, shapes and quality. We use the best quality freshwater pearls with roundish shape, consistent size and free of imperfections.
